Turkey's Billet Imports Decrease, Ukraine's Increase

In the designated timeframe, Turkey's purchase of metal bar and flourish from China decreased by 37.6% compared to the previous year, amounting to 63, 869 metric tons. Ukraine, on the other hand, saw a 126.1% rise in its provide to Turkey, reaching 46, 585 weight tons throughout the same month. Russia provided Turkey with 37, 558 metric tons of billet and bloom, marking a 51.9% decrease when contrasted with the prior year.

Conversely, imports from Malaysia witnessed a significant decrease, with billet inbound tonnage dropping by 81.4% year-on-year to 19, 681 mt in January 2026 compared to 105, 697 mt in January 2025, representing a twofold increase in imports.
